The students met with Fortune 500 companies to interview for internships and employment opportunities.  The students were accompanied by the club’s advisor, Vikki Coffee, who coached the students though the process.  Vicky also recruited companies to partner with Bakersfield College’s Job Placement Department to extend employment and internships to Bakersfield College students.

Ryan Taylor and Maria Garcia have been selected by NSBE to be instructors for the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) camp.  Over the summer,  they will  teach 3rd -8th graders in another state, a curriculum developed by International Society of Automotive Engineers. The camp utilizes a hands-on approach to inspire the next generation of engineers.

This was a wonderful opportunity for our students. Special congratulations to Maria and Ryan who will be sharing their expertise, passion and ‘personality’ with future engineers.
